Meet Lacey 

Lacey is a strategist, an Emmy-nominated and award-winning content creator, and community convener. 

A force of nature, Lacey combines her credentials as a writer, director, and producer, with her experience as a founder, consultant, and executive to embody the ideal interplay between business and creative. Informed by her legal background, Lacey has developed business plans, overseen large budgets, implemented brand development, and managed teams, spanning multiple sectors, including media, finance, tech, culture and politics. 

Lacey has worked with diverse brands and companies, including Mastercard, Pepsi, Nascar, AARP, and Blackstone. Lacey is the co-founder of the multimedia production company Truth Aid Media, an in-demand public speaker represented by United Talent Agency, and an on-air and event host. She has appeared on and been featured in a wide range of radio, tv, podcast, and print news outlets including NPR, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, NBC News, ABC News, The New York Times, MSNBC, Vox, LA Times, and the Washington Post.

  • Lacey has created content for outlets ranging from PBS to Facebook to BET and has exhibited projects at top festivals around the world including the Sundance, Berlin, and Tribeca Film Festivals. Lacey’s work has been named a NY Times Critic’s Pick, achieved record breaking ratings reaching millions, gone viral, and has screened and aired in over 40 countries and been translated into over 20 languages. Her content can be found in the library collections of institutions of higher education and public libraries around the United States, and is streaming on top digital platforms worldwide, including Netflix, iTunes, and Amazon Prime, as well as on the sites of major publications, including The Atlantic and Essence Magazine. Her work has been supported by many organizations and foundations, including Ford Foundation, Independent Television Service (ITVS), San Francisco Film Society, and Steven Spielberg’s Righteous Persons Foundation.

  • She has also held a number of leadership roles in civic, educational and media nonprofits, including serving as a Member of the Library of Congress’s National Film Preservation Board, Community Advisory Board Member for WAMC Northeast Public Radio, and Treasurer of the Congressional Club and Chair of their annual First Lady’s Luncheon. She has also served as a Cultural Envoy for the US State Department and a mentor for the Sundance Film Institute.

Lacey has a BA from Georgetown University, a JD from Harvard University, and is a member of the New York State bar. A native of Woodstock, NY, Lacey currently lives in Rhinebeck with her husband Antonio Delgado, Lieutenant Governor of New York State, their identical twin sons Maxwell and Coltrane, and their dog Leroy.
